When mailing an envelope or postcard, leave at least the bottom 16 millimeters (5/8 inch) blank on both front and back. (The postal service's reading and sorting machines might need this space to print bar codes on your mail.)

This is fairly complete, but as usual, if you are mailing to Australia from another country, don't forget to write AUSTRALIA (the destination country) as the bottom line of the address.

There are multiple formatting options relating to unit number, suite number, or apartment number. For example, you may use a slash to separate the number of the unit, apartment, or suite from the house number or building number; however, this won't work for a floor number or if a floor number is involved.

A House/Property Number [Building Number] can sometimes include a number range.

(Mr. Heisenberg appears to live in Unit 235 of a property having street numbers 201-203. Whether he lives at 201, 202, or 203 is uncertain.)
